Compress the hammer adapter onto the post, keep it vertical, install the drill rod with a hammer, target the hammer exactly to the hammer adapter and press it solidly.
Replacement of hydraulic hammer: if changing the hammer adapter only, just smash it with the hammer; if changing both the hammer adapter and drill rod, the drill rod has to be taken down additionally.
